The second generation of Haier-Ali TV

After Haier’s cooperation with Alibaba, they jointly developed the second generation of the Haier-Ali TV series, which officially launched in March 2015. The product itself is produced by the contract manufacturer Foxconn and offers many functions. With the Smart TV, users can not only watch movies and shows, they can also do online shopping by visiting Taobao and T-Mall, play video games or sing karaoke – all through Alibaba’s platform. Consumers can customize the internet TV by different modules of functions.
Haier’s product division chose mediaman as partner to support its domestic digital marketing business for the Smart TV. In order to present the range of innovative advantages comprehensively to consumers, mediaman developed an online microsite. Users can get to know the product and its various functions and experience its module customization concept thought a dynamic, interactive visual experience, which ultimately increases conversion rates.
At first, mediaman dived deep into Haier’s TV division to learn about the product and its functions with the aim of being able to present a better brand image of Haier-Ali’s TV. We then began to sketch out the information architecture and the ways to display functions best, focusing on a great user experience.
The overall style and design of the microisite was done according to match Haier’s official website. Due to our in-depth understanding of the product, each function pointed out on the microisite is displayed informative and intuitive. While browsing the website, users are able to enjoy dynamic, interactive visual effects to trigger a better impression of the product. Users can also experience specific functions through video, action buttons, and various links. This way the functions and product details can easily stick in the users’ mind.
Finally, mediaman achieved a platform that inspires users and sharpens their buying desire through a simple interface, clear navigation, excellent visual effects and an appealing product description.
Only a few days after the microsite’s launch the page viewers have reached over thousands, which exceeded our clients expectations.
